Overview
Ai made song & music video about the mixed emotions of a designer
Why
I'm not as song writer or singer or musician, but I've always wanted to express my self with a song the explains both the two sides of being a designer, Glory, and desperation . Having Ai was a nice opportunity to direct my own song.
Process
I wrote and refined the lyrics through several rounds in Suno, then generated the hero character as a single image so the visual world was locked before any motion existed.
From there I generated five short clips, each five seconds (Glory, Boredom, Posing, thinking, Looking Down) and each built with same start/end frame so any clip could follow any other.
The full video was then cut from those twenty seconds of footage, repeating and reordering the states against the lyrics and the bass, so the entire piece runs on loop logic rather than on new material.
Art direction
One Isolated character, in a mood that keeps turning over on itself, working hard and building something and then deleting all of it in a single moment to start again. The looping structure is the argument, since the states don't resolve into a happy ending, they come back around, which is what the cycle actually feels like from inside it.
